The debate over Aurangzeb’s tomb resurfaced after Samajwadi Party leader Abu Azmi called Aurangzeb a good administrator. His statement drew strong criticism, especially after the release of the movie Chhaava, which depicted Aurangzeb’s torture of Sambhaji Maharaj. Police have registered cases against Azmi, but he has secured advance bail.
