Tata Motors unveiled the 2025 Tata Altroz facelift on May 22, 2025, starting at Rs 6.89 lakh (ex-showroom, introductory). Bookings open on June 2, 2025, so you can grab yours soon! It is prepared to compete with the Baleno, Glanza, and i20 with new technology and style. It comes in five different models: Smart, Pure, Creative, Accomplished S, and Accomplished+ S.

A Sharp and Stylish Design

The Altroz facelift looks bolder than ever. Its front sports sleek LED headlights with eyebrow-shaped DRLs for a fierce vibe. A glossy black grille and a large air dam add sportiness. New LED fog lamps in muscular housing look futuristic.

On the sides, segment-first flush door handles with illumination, inspired by Tata’s Curvv SUV, stand out. Stylish 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheels with a “Drag cut” design add flair. At the rear, connected LED tail lights with a light bar look chic, and a new bumper with black accents feels aggressive.

Choose from five colors: Dune Glow (the hero shade), Ember Glow (bold and vibrant), Pristine White, Pure Grey, and Royal Blue. From the Accomplished S trim, a dual-tone black roof adds style.

A Cozy and Modern Cabin

Inside, the Altroz feels premium. The dashboard has a dual-tone theme with gloss black and ambient lighting for a classy touch. A modern feel is added by a two-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated logo. New seats with extra thigh support ensure comfort, and beige upholstery makes the cabin airy.

The center console has a new automatic gear selector and a touch-based AC panel. Front and rear armrests, with the rear offering two cupholders, make it practical.

Packed with Cool Tech

The Altroz brings segment-first tech. A 10.25-inch touchscreen by Harman supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. A matching 10.25-inch digital driver’s display shows maps and blind-spot monitoring. You get an eight-speaker system, four 65W Type-C chargers, and iRA connected car tech with 50+ smart features.

Other perks include a voice-activated sunroof, auto AC with rear vents, cruise control, a wireless charger, and an air purifier. Doors open at 90 degrees, and auto-folding ORVMs add convenience.

Top-Notch Safety

The Altroz is India’s only premium hatchback with a 5-star crash rating. All variants have six airbags, ESC, ABS, EBD, ISOFIX anchors, and 3-point seatbelts. A 360-degree camera, blind-spot monitoring, TPMS, and SOS calling ensure safety. Six airbags are now standard across all trims.

Powertrains for Everyone

Three powertrains are available for the Altroz. A 5-speed manual, 5-speed AMT, or 6-speed DCT with paddle shifters can be paired with the 1.2-liter gasoline engine (88 PS, 115 Nm). A 5-speed manual gearbox powers the 1.2-liter CNG (73.5 PS, 103 Nm). With a 5-speed manual, the 1.5-liter diesel (90 PS, 200 Nm), which is unique in this segment, can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 12.8 seconds.

The Altroz Racer’s turbo-petrol engine isn’t included, but a future Racer update may add rear disc brakes and ventilated seats.

Pricing and Variants

Ex-showroom prices for the Altroz range from Rs 6.89 lakh (Smart Petrol MT) to Rs 11.49 lakh (Accomplished+ S Petrol DCT). Smart, Pure, Creative, Accomplished S, and Accomplished+ S are some of Tata’s “personas.” Both Pure and Creative have diesel AMT and sunroof options.

Rivals Compared

The Altroz (Rs 6.89-11.49 lakh) is pricier than the Baleno (Rs 6.70-9.92 lakh) but close to the Glanza (Rs 6.90-10 lakh). The i20 (Rs 7.04-12.56 lakh) is costliest. CNG variants (Rs 7.89-11.09 lakh) beat Baleno and Glanza prices. Its diesel (Rs 8.99-11.29 lakh) is unique.

At 3,990 mm long, it matches Baleno and Glanza but is shorter than the i20 (3,995 mm). Its ground clearance is about 165 mm, compared to competitors’ 170 mm, and its wheelbase (2,501 mm) is the smallest. The petrol engine (88 PS) outperforms the i20 (83 PS) but almost equals the Baleno and Glanza (90 PS).

Why the Altroz Shines

The 2025 Altroz facelift stands out with its sharp design, plush cabin, and unique features like flush door handles. Its 5-star safety and diverse powertrains make it versatile. Visit a Tata dealership from June 2, 2025, to check it out!
