Renowned Bollywood music composer Pritam Chakraborty has suffered a financial loss after a shocking theft at his Mumbai office. His manager filed a complaint at Malad Police Station, accusing a staff member of stealing ₹40 lakh in cash.

How the Theft Happened

The incident took place on February 4 at around 2 pm at Pritam’s music studio, Unimus Record Pvt. Ltd., located in Goregaon. A production house employee delivered a bag containing ₹40 lakh in cash to Pritam’s manager, Vineet Chheda.

Chheda placed the bag in a trolley and went to Pritam’s house, located in the same building, to get some documents signed. When he returned, he found that the bag had disappeared.

Upon asking the other staff members, Chheda learned that a staff member, Ashish Sayal, had taken the bag. Sayal told the staff he was taking it to Pritam’s house. When Chheda tried to contact Sayal, his phone was switched off. This raised suspicions, leading him to report the incident to Pritam.

Police Investigation Underway

Following Pritam’s advice, Chheda immediately filed a complaint at Malad Police Station. The police registered a case and identified 32-year-old Ashish Sayal as the prime suspect.

The authorities have formed teams to track down the suspect. They are also analyzing his mobile records and contacting his relatives. Investigators are trying to determine if he had recently borrowed money, as it could reveal a possible motive behind the crime.

Ongoing Search for the Accused

The Mumbai Police are actively searching for Sayal and the missing cash. They are following multiple leads and checking security footage from the office. Further updates will be available as the investigation progresses.
