Anant Ambani, Director of Reliance Industries Limited and son of Mukesh Ambani, is currently on a 140-km padyatra (foot march) from Jamnagar to the revered Dwarkadhish Temple in Gujarat. The spiritual journey began on a special muhurat at 3:45 AM on Friday.

A Sacred Journey Before His 30th Birthday

Anant Ambani undertook this journey to seek the blessings of Lord Dwarkadhish ahead of his 30th birthday on April 10. He walks 10–12 kilometers every night, covering around 20 kilometers daily. To avoid traffic and minimize inconvenience to the public, he marches during the late hours. Viral videos show him chanting God’s name while walking under tight Z-plus security, accompanied by local police forces.

“This padyatra has been going on for the last five days. We will reach in another two to four days. May Lord Dwarkadhish bless us,” Anant said.

Visiting Temples Along the Route

Throughout his journey, Anant Ambani has been stopping at temples. At the Vishwanath Veda Sanskrit Pathshala in Vadtra, he was warmly welcomed with the recitation of Sanskrit shlokas. While speaking to the media, he encouraged the youth to have faith in Sanatan Dharma.

“I urge young people to believe in Lord Dwarkadhish. When God is present, there is nothing to worry about,” he stated.

Connection to Reliance and Prime Minister Modi’s Visit

Anant Ambani leads the energy business of Reliance Industries, India’s most valuable firm. His padyatra follows Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent visit to the Vantara Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation Centre, an ambitious Reliance Foundation initiative in Jamnagar. Anant personally guided the Prime Minister during the tour of the facility.

Family’s Spiritual Devotion

The Ambani family is known for their deep-rooted faith. Earlier this year, Anant and his father, Mukesh Ambani, visited the Dwarkadhish Temple. In January 2025, the family also participated in the Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj. They took a holy dip at the Triveni Sangam, where four generations of the Ambani family gathered for this spiritual event.

Mukesh Ambani was joined by his mother, Kokilaben, his sons Akash and Anant, daughter-in-laws Shloka and Radhika, grandchildren Prithvi and Veda, and his sisters Dipti Salgaocar and Nina Kothari. Mukesh Ambani’s mother-in-law, Poonamben Dalal, and sister-in-law, Mamthaben Dalal, also participated.

The family later met Swami Chidanand Saraswati Maharaj at Parmarth Niketan Ashram, where they distributed sweets and life jackets.

A Commitment to Spirituality

Before his wedding to Radhika Merchant in July 2024, Anant Ambani visited the Krishna Kali Temple in Neral, Maharashtra. He performed a havan ceremony to seek blessings for his marriage. “I have come here to invite the Gods and seek their blessings,” he had stated at the time.

Reports suggest that Anant’s current padyatra is also part of fulfilling a personal vow, although no official statement has been made by the Ambani family.

The Final Stretch

Today marks the fifth day of Anant Ambani’s padyatra, and he has already covered 60 kilometers. His journey is expected to conclude in the next few days at the Dwarkadhish Temple. On his 30th birthday, he will seek the blessings of Lord Krishna at the sacred site.

As Anant continues this spiritual journey, his faith and dedication remain a source of inspiration for many.
